If you're looking for a few lighthearted laughs, this is just the show you need. The jokes are hilarious and the acting is really good. If you were to ask me, I would say that it's one of the best comedy dramas on Netflix at the moment. It reminds me a bit of Parks and Rec and The Office in terms of the humor and relationships portrayed. If you want to watch a comedy drama with awesome storyline too, this is worth your time.If there is one thing about this show that gets on my nerves it's the way everyone is obsessed with Oda Nobunaga. The guy was a ruthless warlord who slaughtered thousands of people all in the name of his ambition for unification. There are many historians who find him to be one of the most evil men in history, but the drama doesn't really delve into his motivations. It dwells on his many wives and how he treated them, but that's pretty much it. I would have loved to see a little more of the warlord's personality. Storyline: Oda Nobunaga is a story about a man who wants to become the ruler of Japan under the orders of his father, Oda Nobuhide. When Oda Nobunaga was a child, he was always eager to please his father and sought his approval by doing everything for him. After growing up, he sought Oda Nobuhide's advice on appointing people as vassals who will be loyal to him. Unfortunately, Oda Nobunaga's father died before he could complete the task of appointing people. Relieved that his father passed away, Oda Nobunaga was eager to continue following his instructions to unify Japan with Lord Asakura Yoshikage. Despite numerous attempts, Oda Nobunaga failed to meet up with the latter only because the latter only deals with matters of strategy and war. Oda Nobunaga works tirelessly for over 8 years until he finally meets up with Yoshikage again. As they sit down to discuss their next mission, they were attacked by bandits led by Kudo Shinjo who demanded that they surrender their swords for riches. Just as Nobunaga was about to be killed, he was rescued by a man named Maeda Toshiie.Maeda Toshiie saves Oda Nobunaga's life by paying the bandits' ransom. Although Oda Nobunaga keeps an eye on Maeda Toshiie, he was quite disappointed because he believed the latter only owed him for saving his life. Despite trying hard to work with him, Oda Nobunaga keeps encountering troubles whenever they try to work together. Seeing how stubborn Oda Nobunaga is, Toshiie decided that it would be wise if they form an alliance together instead of following orders from other rulers who want them to fight amongst each other.
